In pursuit of Trans Equity: Resources for Trans Men
Why this?
Because we need to stop circlejerking and excluding trans men.
Because trans men have it worse than us trans women, and you can look up any survey you want to confirm this.
Because terms like “TME” are harmful to the entire trans community, and they divide us internally. Transmysoginy can only exist if we help our trans brothers recognize when they’re systemically discriminated against, harmed, disrespected.
Because I feel like we didn’t do good as trans women, generally; but particularly in spaces like Tumblr where a certain rhethoric is still actively being pushed: “trans women are always victims, trans men gain privilege by transitioning and therefore they’re oppressors”. This is bullshit and we need to call it out when we see it.
Because I will never get another chance to do what’s good.

Social issues
- Transsexism: https://transpanic.substack.com/p/transphobia-sexism-transsexism
(archive.org)
Trans men are oppressed on two axes: (1) being transgender — transphobia, and (2) having a ‘female,’ or typically reproductively capable, sexed body — sexism.
- The Masculine Dichotomy: https://transpanic.substack.com/p/the-masculine-dichotomy
(archive.org)
Men face the masculine dichotomy when they are forced into one of two metaphysical boxes: the de-sexed boy or the sexually violent man. The de-sexed boy is innocent. The sexually violent man is ravenous; he is a beast that only seeks one thing (take a guess).
- You Were Never One of Us: https://transpanic.substack.com/p/you-were-never-one-of-us

And yet, on the same internet where trans men bury their dead, we are told, again and again, that we were never real to begin with. That transmasculinity is a trauma response. A fetish. A form of self-harm. A “desire to disappear.” That the only thing sadder than being a trans man is believing you ever were one.
- In the Eye of the Storm: link within this blog
You start feeling like you’re lumped into the transmasc umbrella for a single thing you have in common with those people, but you can’t help but feel different from them: from the way they speak to the way they act, the way the express themselves to their topics, their interests, their attitude, their everything. You have nothing in common with them.
